Camaléon de fieltro / Felt chameleon

Esta vez me pidieron un camaleón de fieltro. Hasta aquí, perfecto. Pero no un camaleón cualquiera, sino uno que sale en una película de Disney... Vaya rollo, pensé, no me gusta nada hacer personajes que han hecho otros, lo creativo es inventar uno sus diseños. Pero cuando vi lo salado y desconocido que es Pascal el camaleón, y la ilusión con que me habían pedido este broche, no me pude negar. ¡Y estoy encantada de haberlo hecho!

This time I was asked for make a chameleon with felt. Perfect. Not a common chameleon but one that's a Disney character... I thought "...what a bore..." because I like create my own designs, it's more creative! But when I saw that Pascal is so cute and unknown, and the illusion I was asked for this brooch, I was delighted with making it.

Fieltro redondo / Felt circle

Estas canicas de madera que me regalaron son toda una inspiración a la hora de hacer broches de fieltro. Además estoy usando colores que jamás pensé que quedarían tan bien juntos.

I got some wooden marbles as a present. They are fantastic to use with felt to make broochs, and they help to inspire me. Also, I'm combinating colors I had never thought!

Cómo me gustan las flores / I love flowers

Las flores son una de las cosas más bonitas del mundo. Si no lo has hecho nunca, haz la prueba. Compra un ramillete de flores, ponlas en un jarrón, vaso, botella o lo que encuentres por casa y ya verás como al instante te sientes más feliz. De hecho, yo ya empiezo a notar esa felicidad en el momento en que pienso qué flores voy a comprar. Me gusta mucho notar su fragancia, y ver cómo los capullitos que estaban sin abrir comienzan a hacerlo hasta que se convierten en unas flores preciosas. Y la alegría que dan en tu mesa de trabajo, te ayudan a sentirte mejor en días duros... No me preocupo cuando empiezan a estropearse, ya que es la mejor excusa para volver a tener otras diferentes.

Así que el sábado pasado, fui con mi amiga Alicia (Arbolande) a hacer una de las cosas que más nos gustan: comprar flores. Esta vez vine a casa con rosas amarillas, crisantemos y claveles, y unas ramas verdes que se parecen al brezo. También cojí un poquito de viburnum y algo de pitosporo. Y como soporte utilicé unos portavelas de diferentes alturas. ¡Qué bien lo pasé haciendo los arreglos! ¡Y qué bonito está mi salón!

Flowers are one of the most beautiful things in the world. If you haven't ever try it: buy a bunch of flowers, put them in a vase, glass, bottle or what you find at home and you instantly see how you feel happier. In fact, I already start to feel the happiness in the moment I think what flowers I'm going to buy. And how nice is to notice its fragrance, and see how the unopened buds begin open until they become beautiful blossoms. Also, flowers give joy to your desk, help you feel better on hard days ... And I'm not worry when they start to wilt, this is the best excuse to get another different ones.

Last Saturday my friend Alicia (Arbolande) and I went to buy flowers, that's something we love doing! This time I returned home with some yellow roses, chrysanthemums and carnations, and a few green branches that look like heather. Also, I caught a bit of viburnum and pitosporo. I used as supports some candle holders with different heights. I enjoyed a lot making the arrangements! And my living room looks fantastic!

Funda para ebook / Ebook reader case cover

Vaya ebook más majo que me regalaron por Navidad. Lo primero que pensé al verlo fue que le tenía que hacer una funda de tela, porque las que venden por ahí me parecen muy serias. Tras pensar en el diseño y pasar un rato cosiendo, ya tengo el ebook protegido y con traje nuevo.

Last Christmas I got an ebook reader as gift. As soon as I saw it I thought I had to sew a fabric cover to protect it, because I find that the other covers you can buy are too serious. After thinking into its desing and sewing along a morning, my ebook is safe and with a new "suit".

Corazón de fieltro / Felt heart

Ante la invasión de tanto amor y corazoncitos por todas partes, he sucumbido y aquí va mi aportación. Eso sí, es un corazón de fieltro bien calentito para estos días de frío.

¡Beee...! / Baaa...!

Me parece curioso que las ovejas balan igual sean de donde sean, pero en cada sitio las eschuchamos de una manera distinta. ¿Se entenderá una oveja española con una oveja que hable inglés? ¡Estoy segura de que sí!

I think it's curious that sheeps bleat in the same way around the world, but in every site we listen them different. In Spain the sheeps say "¡Beee...!" and in UK (for example) they say "Baaa...!" Do you think a spanish sheep could talk with an english one? I'm sure they are able!

Hace un par de meses conseguí un patrón para hacer un búho con tela. Y salieron dos búhos algo canijos.
El negro y colorado está revoloteando por mi casa y el marrón se ha ido hasta Munich. Tendré que hacer más...

A couple of months ago, I got a pattern to make an owl with fabric. And I sewed two little owls.
The black and red one is fluttering around my house, and the brown owl is gone to Munich. I have to make more owls...

Muchas veces, para inspirarme, elijo algo que me gusta y me lo imagino combinado con fieltro.
Con esta canica de madera tan bonita, el resultado es "redondo".
